When you cut yourself, especially if it’s deep, it is often hard to keep the two sides of the cut together so it can heal. You might use butterfly bandages or even need stitches. But there is a better alternative: the inner membrane of an eggshell. It tightens as it dries, sealing the wound and promoting faster healing. If it’s bleeding, press the two sides of the cut together firmly until the bleeding slows, then cover the wound with the egg membrane (wet side down). If the cut is too big, you can use several pieces. It will tighten up quickly and heal amazingly fast.
The membrane needs to stay dry, however, so it’s best not to cover it with another bandage. If you must, use a dry bandage, not a Band-Aid. Everyone who tries this becomes an instant convert. Pass this tip on to your friends: It is cheap and almost always available…
